Todd Kobayashi has joined HHHunt Corp., one of Virginia's largest real estate development companies, as chief financial officer.
He will succeed James A. Crowder, who will retire on Dec. 31 after 20 years with the company.
Kobayashi will be based at the company's Richmond office.
Since 2013, Kobayashi has served as CFO at Foutch Architecture & Development in Kansas City, a leader in the redevelopment of historic buildings.
Before his tenure at Foutch, he served in several vice president roles at Great Plains Energy/KCP&L for nine years.
Kobayashi graduated cum laude from Miami University in Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in business.
He also attended the Harvard Business School, graduating from its Advanced Management Program. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Founded in 1966, HHHunt employs more than 2,000 people and operates in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland.
