Peter Leto was Google's head of industry for automotive retail sales.

Herndon-based automotive tech and consulting company Foundation Direct has named Peter Leto as CEO, the company announced Monday. Leto previously worked as head of industry for Google LLC’s Automotive Retail Sales and General Motors business units.
Based in Detroit, Leto will work on expanding Foundation Direct’s footprint there.
Leto was with Google for 11 years. During his tenure, Google partnered with original equipment manufacturers to modernize dealer programs and improve digital advertising. He has also previously worked for Turner Broadcasting. He earned his bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from the University of Michigan.
Foundation Direct was founded in 2019 and works to help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), regional associations, automotive groups and dealerships take their ad dollars directly to Google, YouTube, Facebook.
