Heritage Brewing Co. plans to spend $8.9 million to expand its craft brewery in Manassas, a project expected to create 66 jobs.
Heritage is relocating and expanding operations to a 35,000-square-foot facility, allowing it to triple production. The expansion will also support growing the distribution of Heritage’s craft beer.
Founded in 2013, Heritage is a veteran-owned and operated craft brewery. The company also owns a brewpub and roastery in Arlington that opened in April. Heritage plans to open more brewpubs, including one in the new production facility.
To secure the expansion project, Gov. Terry McAuliffe approved a $250,000 grant from the Governor’s Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development (AFID) Fund, which Manassas will match with local funds.
Additional funding and services to support the company’s training activities will be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
