A Henrico County-based health-care company, averhealth, plans to invest $325,000 to expand its headquarters and create 50 jobs.
Founded in 1995, averhealth operates a network of substance disorder treatment centers. It serves 170,000 patients in 19 states, including Virginia.
Virginia successfully competed against Kansas and North Carolina for the expansion project.
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) will support averhealth’s job creation through its Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP).
VJIP provides consultative services and funding to companies creating new jobs or experiencing technological change to support employee training activities.
