Tysons consulting firm closed acquisition of Dovel

Tysons-based consulting company Guidehouse completed its acquisition of McLean-based Dovel Technologies Inc., the company announced Monday.
Financial terms of the transaction, which was announced in September, were not disclosed.
“With the Dovel acquisition now complete, we are thrilled to join forces and welcome our new colleagues to Guidehouse as we combine our technology-first business models and share our strengthened capabilities,” Guidehouse CEO Scott McIntyre said in a statement. “Together, we will empower clients through innovative technology and differentiated solutions to help them overcome their most complex challenges.”
Dovel provides data analytics and artificial intelligence along with other technology services, specializing in health, human services and public safety. It is a portfolio company of Macquarie Capital, the principal investment arm of Macquarie Group.
Dovel’s approximately 1,900 employees joined Guidehouse. The new company is expected to generate more than $2 billion in annual revenue.
“Guidehouse has a strong focus on culture and values, affording our employees a welcoming and collaborative environment with expanded growth opportunities as we build our future together,” Dovel CEO Damon Griggs said in a statement.
Guidehouse is a management, technology and consulting company owned by New York-based private equity firm Veritas Capital. It has approximately 12,000 employees in more than 50 locations.
