Henrico County-based Genworth Financial Inc. announced Wednesday it has promoted Kevin D. Schneider as chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1.
Schneider has served the company's executive vice president—global mortgage insurance since May 2015. He has been with the Genworth since it became a publicly traded company in 2004, serving in many senior leadership roles.
Before that, Schneider held senior leadership positions for GE Capital, primarily focused on financial and strategic performance.
As Genworth’s COO, Schneider will be responsible for daily operations and the operating performance of the company.
