Reston-based General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has been awarded a $118 million contract to provide mission support to the U.S. Army’s Department of Information Network, GDIT announced Thursday.
GDIT will provide broad IT and cybersecurity support to Network Enterprise Technology Command, Army Cyber Command and Chief Information Officer/G-6 out of Fort Huachuca near Sierra Vista, Arizona.
The contract includes a five-month base period with four 12-month option periods and one six-month extension.
“We are excited to expand GDIT’s work with NETCOM and utilize our global capabilities,” Senior Vice President Leigh Palmer, head of GDIT’s Defense Division, said in a statement. “This award reinforces GDIT’s ability to deploy broad resources and provide exceptional talent in Sierra Vista, Arizona.”
Army NETCOM was seeking a contract that could secure highly specialized staff at Fort Huachuca and address enterprise issues globally. GDIT will provide real-time network monitoring, security compliance, incident/problem triage, sensor grid monitoring, release management and capability management.
