McLean-based Gannett Co. Inc. has sold Gannett Healthcare Group (GHG) to Wisconsin-based OnCourse Learning, an online education and training provider.
The sale price was not disclosed.
GHG provides continuing education, certification test preparation, online recruitment, digital media, publications and related services for nurses and other health-care professionals in the United States.
The company operates websites Nurse.com, ContinuingEducation.com, TodayinPT.com, TodayinOT.com, PearlsReview.com and NutritionDimension.com. It also publishes the companion print magazines Nurse.com, Today in PT and Nutrition Dimension.
Additional products and services include career fairs, continuing education seminars and webinars, and specialized websites.
OnCourse Learning provides programs designed to prepare students for licensing and certification in a variety of fields.
Its online “campuses” include American Home Inspection Training, BankersEdge, California License, Career WebSchool, Digital University, Energy Management University, OnCourse Learning Publishing, ProSchools, QuickCert and TrainingPro.
Gannett, a media and marketing solutions company, is spinning off its publications division to focus on its portfolio of local television stations.
