Outdoors retailer Gander Mountain is adding a fifth location in Virginia. A 78,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in Woodbridge this fall.
“We are thrilled to bring a new Gander Mountain store to Woodbridge, and give more of our friends in Virginia opportunities to experience our top-quality gear,” David Pratt, Gander Mountain’s president and CEO, said in a statement.
Gander Mountain in Woodbridge will located in an existing space at 14041 Worth Ave., adjacent to the Potomac Mills shopping center, Virginia’s largest outlet mall.
The new location joins joining stores in Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Roanoke and Winchester. The store is expected to create up to 70 new jobs.
Gander Mountain said its newest store will offer one of the largest selections of new and used firearms in Virginia, together with a selection of gear and accessories for hunting, fishing, camping, boating and archery.
The Woodbridge store is the most recent location announced in a sizeable expansion. In the past 18 months, new Gander Mountain stores have opened in 18 locations, including Charlottesville. The retailer, based in St. Paul, Minn., has 17 new stores either open or under construction.
