The Fresh Market Inc. will open its 14th store in Virginia — and the fourth in the Richmond region — on Wednesday, Oct. 28 in Chesterfield County.
The specialty grocer’s latest store is located at 4600 Commonwealth Centre Parkway, in the Commonwealth Center Shopping Center, off U.S. 360.
With the opening of the 23,710-square-foot store, the Greensboro, N.C.-based grocery chain will have 182 stores in the Southeast, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, with plans for continued expansion.
Grand opening festivities begin at 8 a.m. with what the company describes as a “cracking of the Parmesan,” a gourmet version of a traditional ribbon-cutting. The store also will host food sampling stations and chef demonstrations, which will continue through Saturday.
