Freedom Bank parent move to be complete soon

Freedom Financial Holdings, the parent company of the Freedom Bank of Virginia, will relocate its corporate headquarters from the city of Fairfax to Tysons by the end of March.
The new location at 1750 Tysons Blvd. is an 18-story, 405,000-square-foot building. Freedom Financial will occupy a 2,500-square-foot retail branch and corporate banking center, with about 5,000 square feet of corporate office space above.
Freedom Bank President and CEO Joe Thomas said in an email that the move represents “a strategic evolution” as the bank marks 25 years serving Northern Virginia.
While Freedom Financial, the holding company formed in 2021, is relocating its headquarters, the bank’s headquarters will remain in Fairfax, where core banking infrastructure and client support functions are based.
According to Thomas, the move is not about expanding square footage, but “optimizing it.”
“Tysons represents one of the most concentrated and economically vibrant markets in the commonwealth, with roughly 12,000 businesses and 250,000 residents within a five-mile radius,” he said. “Over the past several years, we evaluated workplace trends and commercial density across Northern Virginia. The conclusion was clear: if we intend to grow meaningfully, we must have a visible presence in Tysons.”
Freedom Bank currently has five branches. The Tysons location will be the sixth.
According to Thomas, about 20 team members will be based in Tysons, spanning retail, commercial banking and corporate leadership. In addition, he said the company expects to add three new employees to support branch operations and continued business development.
The company did not disclose a specific cost for the headquarters relocation, instead describing the move as a “strategic repositioning” and saying the incremental expense is modest.
As of Dec. 31, 2025, Freedom Financial had $1.06 billion in assets. It also reported $30.9 million in revenue for 2025, slightly up from 2024’s $30.07 million in revenue.
