Christiansburg-based FoxGuard Solutions Inc. said Tuesday that it has received a federal grant for a $4.3 million cybersecurity project for the U.S. Department of Energy.
FoxGuard Solutions is teaming up with Idaho-based Critical Intelligence to provide patch and update intelligence gathering services and program development assistance. FoxGuard will address concerns about controlling system assets in the power utility industry.
The $4.3 million project includes $3.3 million in funding from the DOE and funds from FoxGuard Solutions and Critical Intelligence.
Preliminary work on is underway, with the project scheduled to take place over three years.
FoxGuard Solutions provides cybersecurity and regulatory compliance services. Critical Intelligence provides cyber situational awareness and threat intelligence services.
