The former Norfolk Chop House building will soon house a brewery and more.

The building at 2314 Colonial Ave. in Norfolk has been sold for $2.1 million to 2314 Colonial Norfolk LLC. Richmond-based The Veil Brewing Co. plans to open a brewery in the spring in the 14,300-square-foot space. The property also has 5,000 square feet available for lease, which could be used by a retailer, office or restaurant.

Richmond-based The Monument Cos. is co-developing the property with the owners of The Veil. Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer’s  Birck Turnbull represented the buyer in the sale, while Chris Rouzie and Wick Smith, also with Thalhimer, represented the seller, Fortune Bay Investments.
