Aggarwal’s passion for his work comes from watching people grow. In the 23 years since he founded Cvent, a meetings and events technology provider, it has grown to include about 4,600 employees worldwide, including about 800 in Virginia. It took in $518.8 million in revenue in fiscal 2021.
After revamping itself for the virtual and hybrid era brought on by the pandemic, Cvent returned to the public market in December 2021 with a valuation of $5.3 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported.
A University of Virginia graduate who earned law degrees from Georgetown and Washington and Lee universities, Aggarwal has been named to multiple lists recognizing his entrepreneurship and innovation; he got his start mowing lawns.
