Heather Combs was recently the company's chief revenue officer.

Fairfax County-based computer software company 3Pillar Global announced Thursday it had promoted former chief revenue officer Heather Combs to chief operating officer.
In her new role, Combs will work on company growth strategies and will continue to oversee development and operations of 3Pillar’s services including marketing, strategic partnerships and commercial operations.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and psychology and her master’s degree in public service and administration and international relations at Texas A&M University.
3Pillar was founded in 2006 and creates software for media and publishing companies, information services companies and retail companies.
New York-based private equity investor CIP Capital recently invested in 3Pillar. The investment amount was not disclosed, but the financial support will go to developing more digital development capabilities at the company.
