The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) has awarded Fairfax-based business and technology consulting company Customer Value Partners Inc. (CVP) a four-year, $54 million contract to provide department-level cybersecurity services.

The award has been distributed through the DOI’s Information Management and Assurance Program Support contract. CVP will provide risk management, continuous monitoring, information security officer support and system security and privacy services to the DOI Office of the Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer.

“We are honored to be selected for our innovative technical approach that encompasses automation, dashboarding and understanding of cybersecurity consolidation activities in the context of federated enterprise IT and security organizations,” CVP CEO Anirudh Kulkarni said in a statement. “Aligning department-wide initiatives with agency-specific priorities requires change management expertise — not just next-generation technology expertise.”

CVP will optimize DOI’s risk management framework and information security and continuous monitoring activities in order to implement continuous diagnostics and migration. This will allow for adaptation and scaling in the future, according to CVP.

Founded in 2002, CVP has strategic partnerships with Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), MuleSoft Inc., Pegasystems Inc. and UI Path. The company this month was also awarded a $17 million contract to help with data collection and analysis for the 2020 Census.
