Fairfax-based MAG Aerospace has acquired Australia-based Encore Aviation and its helicopter maintenance business.
Financial details were not disclosed.
Established in 2002, Encore Aviation is a general-aviation maintenance company. It provides home-base and deployed engineering and maintenance services to a wide variety of aviation organizations in Australia, including those contracted to the National Aerial Firefighting Centre in Melbourne.
“Encore's location and existing capabilities gives us the essential tools and positioning in a growing Australian market,” Joe Fluet, the CEO of MAG Aerospace, said in a statement. “This acquisition is critical to MAG's planned growth in Asia Pacific region.”
Founded in 2010, MAG Aerospace provides aerial intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and other services to federal, international, civilian, and commercial customers around the world. The company formed its MAG Australia division in 2016.
MAG Aerospace has more than 1,000 employees working on six continents.
