Each year, we look back at the exceptional work shaping the Commonwealth, highlighting projects that reimagine historic landmarks and establish the landmarks of the future.

Mission
VA Business’ Top Projects event brings together leaders in economic development, real estate, and construction to connect, learn, and celebrate outstanding projects from across the Commonwealth.
Event Format
Top Projects is an annual look back at the exceptional work completed over the previous year. The program highlights projects that have revitalized historic landmarks and introduced new developments that shape the future of Virginia’s built environment.
Winners will be honored at the Leaders in Construction and Real Estate and Top Projects Awards Ceremony, featured in the Top Projects special publication in VA Business, and recognized online at vabusiness.com.
Top Project Qualifications
Projects must have been completed between January 2025 and December 2025.
Eligible projects must be located within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Additional Questions
Do honorees need to speak at the event?
Honorees do not speak live during the event. Each winning project will be highlighted in a multimedia video that will be shown during the awards program.
Can I purchase advertising in the publication?
The Top Projects program is supported through sponsorships. Advertising included in the special publication is part of sponsorship packages.
I purchased a ticket but did not receive it. What should I do?
Your entry to the live event is your name badge, which will be available at the registration table. You will receive an email with event details one to two days prior to the event. This email will not serve as a ticket.
