Dominion Energy has hired Adam S. Lee to be its vice president and chief security officer beginning Dec. 1.
Lee has been the special agent in charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Richmond Division since 2014. Last year, Lee was appointed by former FBI Director James Comey to lead a study of the FBI’s headquarters and organizational model.
Dominion said in a news release Lee’s job is a new position for the company. Lee will oversee physical and cyber security across Dominion. His responsibilities will include corporate security policies to protect physical and cyber assets, along with legal and regulatory compliance.
“Adam Lee brings unparalleled experience to Dominion Energy as we work to harden our physical and cyber assets and protect them from potential bad actors,” said Thomas F. Farrell, II, chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Lee will leave behind a 22-year career at the FBI where he worked in intelligence, white collar and cyber crimes, honest services fraud and other areas. Lee was previously chief of the FBI’s Public Corruption and Civil Rights Section.
Lee did his undergrad work at San Francisco State University and has a law degree from the John F. Kennedy University’s School of Law in California.
At Dominion, Lee will report to Rodney Blevins, senior vice president and chief information officer.
