Dixon Hughes Goodman will move office from Innsbrook to downtown Richmond

Dixon Hughes Goodman, (DHG) one of the nation’s top 20 CPA and advisory firms, is moving its office from the Innsbrook Corporate Center in Henrico County to the James Center in downtown Richmond.
The move, which will affect more than 80 of the multistate firm’s 1,800 employees, is set for October. DHG plans to retain its office in Chester in Chesterfield County. The firm said it would occupy about 21,000 square feet on the 10th floor of One James Center at 901 E. Cary Street.

“The move occurs at a time of great growth for DHG – a deepening of our advisory practice in addition to the growth of our solid audit and tax practices,” Gary Thomson, DHG mid-Atlantic regional managing partner, said in a statement. “We have been steadily and strategically adding experienced leaders in a range of advisory areas.”

Calling downtown Richmond “a natural fit “for the company, Thomson said, “We have identified a downtown location and an environment that will appeal to the next generation of talent and that will, at the same, put us squarely in the middle of downtown Richmond’s vibrant mix of law firms, investment bankers, financial institutions, government agencies, public companies and other sources of business referrals and new client opportunities,” he said.

Thomson said young professionals want to live and work in areas where they are close to the office and the entertainment that downtown Richmond offers.
