Programs: In addition to M.D.s, students can earn Ph.D.s and master’s degrees. Ph.D. students can pursue studies in fields including biochemistry and molecular genetics, cell biology and experimental pathology. Students earning a M.D. degree can earn combined degrees. U.Va. also provides training to residents and fellows in specialties such as internal medicine, emergency medicine and otolaryngology.
