Dinwiddie County Supervisor Harrison Moody has been elected president of the Virginia Association of Counties (VACo ) for 2013-14.

Moody succeeds Middlesex County Supervisor John D. “Jack” Miller Jr.

Moody has served on the Board of Supervisors in Dinwiddie County since 1987 and was named chairman six times during his tenure. He was elected to the VACo board in 2001.

His election as president of VACo occurred during the association’s 79th Annual Conference in Bath County.
