Cynthia Chen has been promoted to chief financial officer at Fairfax-based Dewberry.
Chen has been with the professional services company for 13 years, most recently serving as corporate director of accounting and finance.
She succeeds Mark Reiner who passed way earlier this year.
In her new role, Chen will oversee the accounting and finances of the $376 million, 2,000-person company.
Chen began her career with investment bank Rothschild in Shanghai. Her past experience also includes working for Ernst & Young in New York as a senior consultant.
Chen received a master’s degree in accounting from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She earned a a bachelor’s degree in international business from Suzhou University in China. Chen is a certified public accountant.
