Delta Pure, a manufacturer of filtration products for water and industrial applications, is nearing completion of an expansion in Hanover County.
The company is adding more than 12,000 square feet to its facility in the Hanover Industrial Air Park as well as additional equipment for a total investment of more than $1 million. The expansion nearly doubles existing space to a total of 30,000 square feet.
The company said in a press release that the addition would warehouse supplies and finished goods, allowing more room for new equipment during its manufacturing operation. The investment is designed to improve manufacturing efficiencies, allowing Delta Pure to develop new product and enter new markets. The result should provide an additional 10 to 15 new jobs over the next one to two years.
Delta Pure began its operations in Hanover in 1983. It said that growth over the last three years increased revenues by 82 percent and required the addition of another six associates. The growth landed Delta Pure on the 2012 Inc. 5000 List of fastest growing companies in America. It ranked 2,814 and 97th in Inc.’s list of manufacturers.
The company currently employs 26 people and operates 24 hours a day, five days a week. “Delta Pure continues to be a great success story and another great example of the manufacturing talent in Hanover County,” Cecil R. “Rhu” Harris, Hanover County’s administrator, said in a statement.
Delta Pure will be working with the Virginia Department of Business Assistance in providing training services for all new employees hired through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
