Deal expands IT services company’s clientele

Winchester-based Tech Team Solutions has acquired  the clientele roster of Computer Information Technology Inc. (CIT).

The deal marks Tech Team’s seventh in the area since 2008. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Winchester-based CIT was founded by Mike Seals in 2002. He dissolved the company and entered into a formal agreement with Tech Team on Sept. 1.

Under the deal, Tech Team will offer the same services provided by CIT, including computer and printer repair, network maintenance and monitoring, onsite and remote IT services, virus protection, and phone and security systems installation.

Seals will work with Tech Team during the transition.

“The CIT purchase does allow us to expand our offering of offsite-backup services to include full-image backups, which is a higher level of service and coverage than what we’ve offered before,” Tech Team President and CEO Todd Drunagel said in a statement.

The acquisition has resulted in an additional 40 clients at Tech Team.

Tech Team now serves about 900 customers in the Winchester area and has 15 employees.

In recent years, the company has expanded its products and services to include business telephone systems, business equipment sales/service, business automation, telephone wiring, and fiber/network cabling installation.

Earlier this year, Tech Team also opened a training center and showroom and started offering security systems sales and installation for home and business.
