Jon McElhaney has joined the Richmond office of Davenport & Co. LLC as the head of wealth management.
McElhaney is responsible for oversight of branch management and leadership, recruiting, business development, financial services, and marketing.
Before joining Davenport, McElhaney worked for Wells Fargo Advisors in a variety of capacities. For the past six years, he was managing director and complex manager in the firm’s Austin, Texas, office where he was responsible for a seven-branch complex.
A Richmond native, McElhaney is a graduate of Washington & Lee University.
Richmond-based Davenport & Co. LLC 23 locations in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Maryland.
The firm, which is employee-owned, has more than 430 associates, including 175 investment executives.
