Cvent to file initial public offering

Cvent Inc., an online event management company, is planning to go public.

The McLean-based company has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to start the IPO process. The number of shares to be sold and purchase price have not been determined, but the IPO’s maximum aggregate price is $100 million, according to its S-1 statement with the SEC.

Cvent plans to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol CVT.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and Goldman, Sachs & Co. will act as joint book-running managers for the offering. Stifel, Nicolaus & Company Inc. Pacific Crest Securities LLC, and Needham & Company LLC will act as co-managers.

Cvent provides cloud-based software products for meeting and events planners.
