Cvent plans to hire 1,000 employees around the globe

Tysons-based Cvent Inc., a major provider of technology for the event planners and hoteliers, plans to hire more than 1,000 employees globally  this year.

To support its expanded workforce, Cvent will add more than 140,000 square feet of office space worldwide. That number includes 75,000 square feet added to its headquarters in Tysons, making it 200,000 total square feet.

“Cvent has continued to steadily grow from a small startup in 1999, to the globally recognized software leader with more than 3,000 employees,” Reggie Aggarwal, the company’s founder and CEO, said in a statement. “While our growth has been rapid, our winning culture – and our unwavering focus on our employees – has remained core to what we do.”

In addition to hiring new employees at its headquarters, Cvent plans to add staff to its North American offices in Austin, Boston, Atlanta, Portland, Dallas, Draper (Utah), Fredericton (Canada) and its international offices in London, Singapore, Melbourne and New Delhi.

Cvent also intends to open offices in Dubai and Germany later this year.

Cvent offers software to event planners for online event registration, venue selection, event management, mobile apps for events, email marketing and web surveys.

The company provides hoteliers with an integrated platform, enabling properties to increase group business demand through targeted advertising and to improve conversion through demand management and business intelligence solutions.
