Emser Tile has entered into a 401,066-square-foot, build-to-suit lease at the CenterPoint Intermodal Center in Suffolk where it will establish the company’s new East Coast distribution center.
The new building will be located off Rt. 58, west of the Port of Virginia.
Emser Tile, based out of Los Angeles, Calif., announced last month that it plans to invest $16.2 million in the center, which is expected to create 98 jobs.
Emser is a major designer, marketer and producer of tile and natural stone. Construction for the new building is underway with completion planned for late 2016.
William C. Throne of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, along with Mark Collins, senior director of Cushman and Wakefield, Dallas, Texas, handled the lease negotiations on behalf of Emser.
