The Fahrenheit Group, a Richmond-based advisory firm, is merging with Axeo, a Reston-based human-resources consulting firm with offices in Northern Virginia and Phoenix.
With the merger, Fahrenheit said it is expanding its advisory, accounting and finance offerings to now include HR consulting and fractional services under FahrenheitHR.
Tom Wimer, the managing partner of Axeo, will lead the combined FahrenheitHR practice.
Wimer began Axeo in 2013. He had been CEO of KnowledgeBank Inc., a human-resources management consulting firm he founded in 2002 and sold in 2011.
The Fahrenheit Group was founded in 2010. Its practice areas include accounting and finance, business advisory and human-resources.
