Reston-based comScore announced Tuesday that it has named a new CFO.
Mel Wesley will become CFO of the Internet data company effective Aug. 29, when current CFO Kenneth Tarpey retires.
Wesley has held many executive financial positions in the technology industry.
Most recently he was CFO of Mandiant Corp., a provider of advanced security products and solutions, which was acquired by FireEye in December 2013. He previously spent more than eight years at OPNET Technologies, where he was senior vice president and CFO when it was acquired by Riverbed Technologies. He was corporate controller for SteelCloud Inc. and assistant controller for Learning Tree International Inc.
The announcement came the same day comScore announced second quarter revenues of $80 million, compared with $69.9 million the same period the prior year. The company's loss widened to $3.2 million, compared with $398,000 in the second quarter of last year, mostly because of settlement charges related to a consumer lawsuit.
