CareerBuilder, an online technology company, plans to establish a call center and research facility in Frederick County that will employ 250 people.
The Chicago-based company expects to invest $2.5 million in setting up the 20,000-square-foot facility.
Since its start nearly 25 years ago, CareerBuilder has helped more than 25,000 global customers find, hire and orient new employees.
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) worked with Frederick County to secure the project for Virginia.
VEDP will support CareerBuilder’s job creation through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP).
VJIP provides consultative services and funding to companies creating new jobs or experiencing technological change in order to support employee training activities.
