A proposed merger of Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) and the enterprise services business of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) will be called DXC Technology.
The new name is expected to take effect on April 3 with the conclusion of the merger.
The merger, announced last May, would create an IT services company with $26 billion in annual revenue and nearly 6,000 customers in more than 70 countries.
The new company plans to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker symbol “DXC.”
Mike Lawrie, CSC’s chairman, president and CEO, will hold the same titles with DXC Technology.
Until the completion of the merger, the two companies will continue to operate under their current leadership structures as separate organizations.
CSC said all necessary regulatory clearances for the merger have secured and the SEC registration process is ongoing.
