Colonial Williamsburg Foundation board elects new chairman

Henry C. Wolf, the retired vice chairman and chief financial officer of Norfolk Southern Corp., has been elected chair of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation board of trustees.

Wolf,  who has served on the board since 2007, succeeds Thomas F. Farrell II, the chairman, president and CEO of Dominion Resources. Farrell will continue on the board through 2018.

Wolf earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the College of William & Mary, an MBA from Louisiana State University and a master of laws degree from Georgetown University. He joined Norfolk Southern as a tax lawyer in 1973.

Wolf has served as rector of the board of visitors at William & Mary and is an emeritus member of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science Council. He had also served as a director of AGL Resources, Hertz Global Holdings and Shenandoah Life Insurance Co.
