Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens Williamsburg are collaborating on a marketing and advertising campaign.
The campaign will include TV advertising promoting both attractions that will appear in the weeks before spring break.
The campaign follows the attractions’ use of the Bounce Ticket, which offers up to seven days at Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens and its sister park, Water Country USA, at lower price than would be charged for separate tickets.
As part of the campaign two Colonial Williamsburg hotels, the Williamsburg Lodge and Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel and Suites, have been designated as the official hotels of Busch Gardens.
The properties will be featured on Busch Gardens Vacations’ booking site, and Colonial Williamsburg will provide shuttle service for guests between the hotels and theme parks.
One commercial in the ad campaign shows a man dressed in 18th century costume arguing with a Busch Gardens employee over which attraction is best as a family tries to decide how to spend its spring break.
The television spot, produced by Sway Creative Labs of Norfolk, will air in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., markets during the 58th Annual Grammy Awards on CBS on Monday, Feb. 15.
It also will appear on CBS.com, on streaming site Hulu.com, and on the websites of popular national family magazines such as Family Circle and Parents.
