Alfred D. “Denny” Hardee has been elected chairman of The Citizens Community Bank, based in South Hill.
Norman D. Wagstaff, Jr. was elected to vice-chairman by the bank’s board of directors.
Hardee succeeds the bank’s organizing chairman, Raymond T. Arnold.
The president and CEO of the bank is James R. Black.
Hardee, 58, is the retired owner of Hardee Ford, now managed by sons Shaun and Chris.
He has served as a director at the bank since its inception in 1998. He was elected in 2011 as vice chairman of the board of directors and has served as a member of the board’s executive committee, audit committee, personnel committee and corporate governance committee.
One of the bank’s original stockholders, Wagstaff, the new vice chairman, owns three businesses including Wagstaff Construction Services Inc., Trottinridge Commercial Properties LLC; and Wagstaff Angus.
