Cinema Café continues to expand its footprint in Hampton Roads. The company announced plans to open a new movie theatre/dining complex in the Edinburg Commons West shopping area in Chesapeake. The new complex is scheduled to break ground off Edwin Drive this spring. It would open in the spring 2015.
Cinema Café would join other major tenants, such as Walmart, Target and Cracker Barrel, in this busy shopping area in Chesapeake. It plans nine movie theaters with 3D-picture capability in three of the auditoriums.
Guests can order food and drinks from a restaurant menu from servers who are available throughout a film’s showing.
The company, based in Virginia Beach, already has a location at the Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake. It also operates Cinema Cafes in Virginia Beach and Hampton.
