The former Dish Network call center in Christiansburg sold for $6.5 million, Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group announced last week.
The 101,500-square-foot industrial building sits on more than 19 acres in Falling Branch Corporate Park at 400 Technology Drive. Motion control manufacturer Moog Inc. purchased the property in order to expand its industrial components group, according to Poe & Cronk. Moog plans to spend $3 million to convert the building into a production facility.
“We are pleased to have had the opportunity to put this transaction together, which results in a win for both our client and the New River Valley Community,” Jacob Quesinberry of Poe & Cronk said in a statement. “Moog’s expansion into the Falling Branch Corporate Park accommodates the growth needs of one of the area’s major employers, keeping great jobs in the area and bringing in many more new ones.”
Moog will vacate its 2200 South Main St. facility as part of its expansion. Quesinberry and Dennis Cronk facilitated the transaction. Briar Oak Investments VII LLC was the previous owner, according to property records.
