Chef Troy Clayton has opened his third and newest restaurant, The Landing Restaurant at Occoquan Harbour Marina in North Woodbridge.
The white-clothed restaurant on the Occoquan River in Prince William County follows Clayton’s two other ventures: Geranio, an award-winning, 110-seat Italian restaurant in Old Town Alexandria, and The Landing at Coles Point, which opened in May 2013 on the Northern Neck.
More than 120 people turned out for the new restaurant’s grand opening last week, including Frank Pricipi of Prince William County’s Woodbridge Magisterial District.
“A white tablecloth restaurant overlooking the Occoquan River fits right in with the vision of a new Woodbridge and hopefully creates a buzz in North Woodbridge that will help fuel greater economic development in the area,” Supervisor Pricipi said in a statement.
Clayton opened the restaurant in collaboration with the marina’s developer, Taylor Burke, who also owns the Cole’s Point Marina, located on the lower Potomac River.
