Chantilly-based defense contractor Arcfield has hired Lori Becker as chief financial officer and Mike Smith as chief security officer, the company announced Wednesday.

Both will report to Arcfield CEO and Chairman Kevin Kelly, who was named CEO and chairman in December 2021.

Formerly called CTFV Acquisition Corp., Arcfield is a portfolio company of the Veritas Capital Vantage Fund LP. The company provides systems engineering and integration capabilities to defense clients. In September 2021, Herndon-based government contractor Peraton Inc. sold its systems engineering, integration and support services business to CTVF, prompting the name change to Arcfield.

Becker joins Arcfield from Nevada-based aerospace contractor Sierra Nevada Corp., where she served as CFO and managed 130 employees across finance and accounting. She has held leadership roles including CFO and executive vice president of finance and treasury at Herndon-based software company Deltek Inc., vice president of finance systems and transformation compliance at Peraton, CFO and treasurer at Tysons-based consultant Logistics Management Institute, vice president and corporate controller at Herndon-based government contractor Akima LLC and vice president and corporate controller at Arlington-based federal contractor Vangent Inc.

Smith joins Arcfield after spending 23 years with the U.S. Secret Service. He served as special agent in charge of the Office of Protective Operations. Before joining the Secret Service, he was an officer for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for six years.

“Lori and Mike bring exactly the type of well-rounded, proven experience that will be priceless to Arcfield,” said Kelly in a statement. “We will rely heavily on their leadership and expertise as we develop and execute our short- and long-term strategies for the company. I look forward to working closely with both of them.”

Last week, Arcfield announced its new chief operating officer and chief administrative officer hires.

Arcfield has 16 offices around the world and 1,200 engineers, analysts, IT specialists and other employees.
