Effort to halt monthly toll-road user fees draws support

RIC HMOND A legislative effort to halt new monthly fees for toll-road users gained some momentum today in a House of Delegates subcommittee. Del. Manoli Loupassi’s bill (HB1302) would do away with the fees imposed Sept. 1 by the Virginia Department of Transportation on the electronic transponders that allow drivers to use toll roads without stopping at a tollbooth.
