Lipton brews $96 million deal to stay in Suffolk

SUFFOLK The brewing is staying in Suffolk. The parent company of the Lipton Tea plant just west of the city's downtown has pledged to invest more than $96 million to expand the facility. That investment from consumer goods company Unilever - announced at a local ceremony with Gov. Bob McDonnell today - means the city's nearly 60-year relationship with the Lipton plant will continue.

McAuliffe among top Obama fundaisers

WASHINGTON  President Barack Obama's top fundraisers brought in at least $186 million for the president's re-election campaign. Obama's campaign released a list of 770 top donors today who brought in between $186.6 million and $268 million. The president's re-election campaign raised nearly $1 billion to defeat Republican Mitt Romney.
