Trial set in alleged scam of ex-delegate’s family

YORKTOWN A trial is scheduled next month for a Louisa County man accused of scamming the ex-wife of imprisoned former lawmaker Phil Hamilton with bogus claims that he could get Hamilton a presidential pardon. Joseph Yancey, 52, a convicted felon, faces six felony counts of obtaining money by false pretense. His trial is set for June 26 in York County General District Court.
