McLean-based Capital One Financial Corp. has filled two newly created seats on its board of directors.
The new directors are Benjamin P. “Ben” Jenkins, III, former vice chairman of Wachovia Corp. and former president of its general bank, and Catherine G. West, managing director of Promontory Financial Group.
They will stand for election by Capital One stockholders in May.
Jenkins retired from Wachovia in December 2008. He served as senior adviser, managing director and vice chairman of retail banking at Morgan Stanley & Co. until January 2011.
Before joining Promontory Financial Group in April, West was associate director and chief operating officer of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She previously served as chief operating officer at J.C. Penney.
