Arlington County-based Fortune Global 500 aerospace and defense giant Boeing has been awarded an up to $2.8 billion contract to provide upgrades to South Korea‘s F-15 jet fleet.
The U.S. Air Force awarded the contract.
The F-15K Slam Eagle is a Republic of Korea Air Force variant of the F-15E Strike Eagle and possesses the ability to conduct long-range precision strike missions day and night. Boeing produced roughly 60 aircraft for South Korea between 2005 and 2012 and continues to support the fleet through sustainment and upgrade programs.
The hybrid cost-plus-fixed-fee and fixed-price incentive contract funds the design and development of an integrated suite of systems to modernize South Korea’s F-15K fleet.
According to the DOD, work will be performed at St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2037.
The sole-source Foreign Military Sales contract for South Korea includes $540 million in initial funding to begin the upgrade work.
Boeing posted 2025 revenue of $89.46 billion, up from $66.5 billion in 2024. The company said the $23.9 billion increase primarily reflected 160 commercial deliveries.
In December 2025, Boeing completed a $4.7 billion purchase of key supplier Spirit AeroSystems.
