Chesterfield’s Meadowbrook Plaza sells for $16M

Chesterfield’s Meadowbrook Plaza shopping center on Hopkins Road has been sold for $16 million, Colliers International announced Thursday.

The 16.77-acre strip mall was sold by Premier RE FUND V LLC to UG Necessity Retail Fund 2 LP, also known as Unite Growth. The shopping center has 45,129 square feet and recently underwent a renovation. Some of its anchors include Walmart Inc., Gold’s Gym and a Virginia ABC store.

Peter Vick, Harrison Hall and Maddy Spear, of Colliers International, represented the seller.

Midlothian Crossing Shopping Center sells for $6.6M

Midlothian Crossing Shopping Center in Chesterfield County sold for $6.64 million on Sept. 9,  Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer announced Friday.

The 87,938-square-foot strip mall is located at 8501 Midlothian Turnpike at the intersection of Midlothian Turnpike and Powhite Parkway. The property is 95.6% leased and is anchored by Big Lots and Goodwill retail locations.

Catharine Spangler of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer’s Capital Markets Group represented the seller, RCC Midlothian Crossing LLC. The purchaser was Richmond-based 8501 Midlo Pike LLC.

Campbell County shopping center sells for $4.7M

A Campbell County shopping center sold for $4.7 million Monday, S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. announced Tuesday. The Kent Mall LLC, a Pennsylvania-based real estate investment company, purchased Rustburg Marketplace, a 46,700-square-foot shopping center, from Rustburg Ventures LLC of Richmond.

Anchored by Food Lion, the shopping center is 100% occupied and has nine local and national tenants, including Family Dollar, Virginia ABC, Domino’s Pizza and Subway.

Chester strip mall sold for $6M

Chester’s The Shoppes at River Forest, a 30,720-square-foot strip mall anchored by a Wal-Mart, was purchased on Feb. 26 for $6 million.

Raleigh, North Carolina-based PGP River Forest purchased the property from Bogese Cos., a Richmond-based real estate development group.

At the time of the sale, the center was 82% leased to tenants that include a mix of national, regional and local operators. The center is located along Chester’s Iron Bridge Road corridor.
