Hardy’s experience as a registered nurse has benefited health care workers in malpractice actions and investigations. As Sands Anderson’s Fredericksburg office managing shareholder and first woman president, Hardy heads up the firm’s health care practice and is a member of its government, business and litigation groups.
She graduated from the Johnston-Willis Hospital School of Nursing, completing her undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond and earning an MBA from Old Dominion University. Hardy received her law degree from William & Mary.
A past president of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, Hardy serves as legal counsel for the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce and sits on the board of trustees for Mary Washington Healthcare. Hardy has made the Best Lawyers in America’s legal malpractice law – defendants list from 2018 to 2023.
HOBBY/PASSION: Anything fiber-related — knitting, weaving, spinning (not the exercise kind!)
