After nearly 17 years as president and CEO of the nation’s fourth largest homebuilder, Saville became executive chairman of NVR’s board in 2022. Saville began his tenure with the publicly traded company in 1981 when he joined Ryan Homes, which later became a subsidiary of NVR. The Reston-based Fortune 500 company reported $10.5 billion in revenue in 2022 and constructs and sells homes under various brands, including Ryan Homes, NVHomes and Heartland Homes.
Saville earned his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his undergraduate studies at William & Mary. He and his wife, Linda, are the philanthropic force behind the new 24,000-square-foot Inova Saville Cancer Screening and Prevention Center that opened in spring 2022. The first of its kind in the region, the Fairfax center is part of the Inova Schar Cancer Institute, which bears the name of NVR founder and former Chairman Dwight Schar and his wife, Martha, who donated $50 million to build it.
According to Forbes, Saville was worth $1.9 billion in mid-July.
