DISYS and acquired company rebrand as Dexian

McLean-based staffing firm Digital Intelligence Systems LLC (DISYS) and Florida-based Signature Consultants LLC have rebranded their combined company as Dexian, DISYS announced Monday.

DISYS first announced its acquisition agreement with Signature Consultants in April 2021. The new company has a combined revenue of more than $1.3 billion and almost 12,000 employees across more than 70 offices, according to a news release. It is integrating its staffing, IT and workforce solutions companies into one platform. DISYS was incorporated in 1994, and Signature Consultants was founded in 1997.

“The Dexian brand reflects our commitment to applying dexterity at scale through our new integrated platform of services and solutions and to creating exceptional experiences for our clients, consultants, employees and partners,” Dexian CEO and founder Mahfuz Ahmed said in a statement.

The Dexian family of brands includes Dexian DISYS and Dexian Signature Consultants, but the company plans to drop the legacy names and use Dexian as a standalone brand within 9 to 12 months, according to Washington Business Journal.

“The launch of Dexian reflects a forever-changed world of work that requires new, focused solutions to new modes of work,” Dexian President and Chief Operating Officer Maruf Ahmed said in a statement. “It’s not just the way we work, where we work and how we work that has changed.”

DISYS acquires Illinois-based MAKE Corp.

McLean-based staffing firm Digital Intelligence Systems LLC (DISYS) has agreed to acquire MAKE Corp., an Illinois-based information technology staffing company, according to a news release.

The move is part of DISYS’ growth strategy and will allow the company to expand staffing offerings in banking and financial services, health, manufacturing and retail, the company said.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We’re incredibly excited about what MAKE brings to our overall enterprise,” DISYS CEO Mahfuz Ahmed said in a statement. “MAKE’s portfolio of clients within key verticals brings added strength to DISYS and, in turn, the overall strength of DISYS will serve to accelerate the growth of MAKE’s operations and its people. Additionally, the MAKE team’s leadership within VMS Professionals (a national association) and industry experience also brings us invaluable positioning and insights to help best serve our clients now and in the future.”

The acquisition is set to close in the fall, with plans to integrate all of MAKE’s current operations into DISYS’ operating model. MAKE CEO Karen Wilson will not be joining DISYS.

“Under the leadership of Karen Wilson and her team, MAKE has built an impressive operation in delivering exceptional workforce solutions,” Ahmed added. “Their commitment and passion have built a foundation that we believe will only be made stronger as part of the DISYS portfolio We look forward to what we will be able to build together as we work to deliver industry-leading experiences for our clients and our people.”

Incorporated in 1994, DISYS is a services and staffing firm with more than 10,000 employees and more than 70 offices worldwide. It acquired Herndon-based Signature Consultants in 2021, creating the nation’s second-largest minority-owned staffing firm.
