A subsidiary of Reston-based global engineering, construction and project management company Bechtel Group Inc. won a pair of contract modifications, totaling about $872 million, from the U.S. Navy, the Department of Defense announced Monday.
Monroeville, Pennsylvania-based Bechtel Plant Machinery Inc., has been awarded a $621.9 million cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to a previously awarded contract for naval nuclear propulsion components.
The second contract modification is a $201 million cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to a previously awarded contract for naval nuclear propulsion components. The modification includes options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value to about $249.8 million.
For both contracts modifications, the work will be performed in Monroeville and Schenectady, New York. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., is the contracting agency.
